How to Upgrade OPTALIGN smart - ALI 12.200 computer

1. Download the upgrade to your PC. Do not download directly to the memory stick!
2. Connect your memory stick to your PC.
3. Double click the executable file. An extraction wizard will launch.
4. Extract the upgrade package contents to your memory stick. Firmware will store in the OPTALIGN folder.
5. Switch on OPTALIGN smart
6. Attach ALI 12.503 USB cable
7. Connect PRUFTECHNIK memory stick to the USB cable. The OPTALIGN smart will recognize the attached memory stick and will update itself.
8. Follow the instructions at the end of the upgrade process. PRESS & HOLD ENTER KEY until device switches on.
   Warning: Ensure that the device is charged or to at least 80% battery capacity.

5. Attach OPTALIGN smart EX to ALI 12.500 OPTALIGN smart adapter box
6. Insert PRUFTECHNIK memory stick into the adapter box
7. Switch on OPTALIGN smart EX. Update will autostart.
   Warning: Ensure that battery capacity is to at least 80% or that the ALI 12.500 adapter box is connected to ALI 12.651 charger.

NOTE: When the OPTALIGN smart EX is running, the USB Stick will NOT be recognised!
Update is only possible if the USB Stick is first conected to the adapter box and OPTALIGN smart EX is then switched on.

For ALI 12.200 computer,
use ALI 4.451 Memory stick and ALI 12.503 cable.

For ALI 12.200EX computer, use ALI 4.452 Memory stick and ALI 12.500 adapter box.

OPTALIGN SMART FW 2.0

• Support for ROTALIGN sensors (aka OPTALIGN SMART RS). Not applicable for OPTALIGN SMART EX.
